Aquatic Artists at New Dolphinarium in Sochi

17. September 2012 by Masha 0 Comments

While there are already two dolphinariums in the southern resort city of Sochi, the largest one in all of Russia held its grand opening this past Saturday. Located at the Sochi Riviera Park, the new dolphinarium can accommodate 1,300 guests and will be open all the year round.

Two seals and a baby sea lion join the three stars of the show, dolphins who were rescued from fishing nets in the coastal waters of Japan. In addition to performing tricks, the dolphins are aspiring artists and delight viewers by painting pictures poolside.

Like the two other dolphinariums of Sochi, the latest one will spread knowledge about sea mammals and campaign for nature conservancy. It will also have a dolphin therapy program for children with disabilities and adults who suffer from depression.

Sochi Riviera Park is a perfect place to visit with your favorite Russian bride, and even more so with the addition of the dolphinarium. There are also amusement rides, art galleries, cafes, fountains, sculptures, beautiful Magnolia trees, and more.
