Are the Emails I Receive on HotRussianBrides.com Sincere? They Just Don’t Seem Real.

15. June 2010 by Christy 0 Comments

Members of HotRussianBrides.com, especially new members, receive a lot of email. One complaint about this mail is that many of the messages seem fake or insincere or that they appear to be form letters of some kind. Gentlemen wonder if the ladies are truly interested in getting to know them or if they have ulterior motives. Here’s a few things to keep in mind.

Form Letters

The type of emails that draw the most complaints are introduction emails, mail in which a lady contacts a gentleman to express her interest and share a little information about herself. Men are suspicious because the messages are similar in content and structure and, at times, not tailored specifically for the recipient. These characteristics cause some men to believe the emails are fake and that the women are not serious about finding love.

The ladies’ letters are similar because people (and this includes gentlemen as well) tend to mention the same things and ask the same questions when contacting someone for the first time. Likes and dislikes come up a lot as do the reasons for seeking love online. A brief overview of a one’s personality is also common. It’s also true that some of the ladies send the same introduction letter to more than one man. However, gentlemen members do this too. It’s a common technique in online dating and not an indication of Russian scammers.

Fake Letters, Insincerity

A few things that cause men to question the sincerity or authenticity of a lady’s letters is brief messages, not answering specific questions, and the seemingly excessive use of terms of endearment like “darling,” “sweetie,” and “my love.” Some gentlemen believe these are definite signs of a scammer. However, this simply isn’t the case.

The majority of women on HotRussianBrides.com do not have the time or English skills to write lengthy emails so they compose short messages or request live chat sessions instead. If a lady doesn't answer a specific question it does not mean she isn’t reading your letters or is purposely ignoring you. It’s more likely that she either didn’t understand your inquiry or forgot to address it. Give her the benefit of the doubt before jumping to conclusions. Believe it or not, many ladies have the same complaint about our gentlemen members!  As for use of the flowery term of endearments, that is a cultural thing. You’ve likely noticed that many of the Russian women’s profiles are passionate and dramatic, more so than the average Western woman’s profile, and this passion carries over into emails as well.

Though some women are guilty of sending insincere letters, the majority of ladies on HotRussianBrides are genuinely interested in finding love and contact men the best way they know how. Some emails may seem fake, but if a gentleman keeps an open mind and takes a closer look at a lady’s mail he will likely see she is sincere in her desire to get to know him.
