At the “heart of Odessa”, where Deribasovskaya Street crosses Gavannaya Street and Corsad, in a longstanding house which was built for De Ribas, is located one of the most colorful establishments of the “South Palmyra”, the Pecheskago restaurant. The restaurant is situated in the “City Garden”, and it was built in the Russian nobility style of the late ХIX century.

This place has its centurial traditions and history; it is always ready to astonish you with its various food dishes, amazing music and friendly service.

The restaurant got its name in honor of a famous restaurant owner of late XIX century, sir Pecheskiy. He lived in this house in Deribasovskoy Street and owned a tavern “Pecheskago” on the ground floor. During the day poor people could dine in this pub and at night, high life awoke there. After the revolution the restaurant was taken away from its owner. Its name was changed several times but the most memorable one was “Kavkaz”. In 1991 the restaurant was redeemed and took back its previous name. A year ago major repairs of a summer ground were undertaken. A winter hall will be repaired by the end of the year. The history of the restaurant is being investigated and gathered carefully for descendants.

In the restaurant you will be offered European and Odessa cuisine with some Caucasian dishes. Perfectly presented grill dishes. You will be able to taste firm salad pecheskiy or salmon salad. The real Caucasian cooks will cook pork, mutton and chicken barbeque and any other dishes.

In the banquet room styled like an “Old Odessa” yard or on the open-air verandah in the City Garden, you can always just relax with friend and relatives, listen to the live music, and celebrate a Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding or any other solemn event with full comfort and best taste.
