22. June 2010 by Christy 0 Comments

President of ABC News, David Westin, announced today that Bianna Golodryga will co-host the weekend edition of "Good Morning America." Golodryga will begin her new role this Saturday, joining co-anchor Bill Weir, news anchor Ron Claiborne, and weather anchor Marysol Castro on the show.

"Bianna has distinguished the network with her reporting on the economy and recent financial crisis," Westin said in an email.

Golodryga joined ABC News in July 2007, covering topics in business and economics. She also served as substitute co-anchor and news anchor on "Good Morning America." She will continue to report on the economy, Wall Street, business trends, and financial issues.

Golodryga is of Russian descent and speaks Russian fluently. She joined ABC News in July 2007 and announced her engagement Good Morning America’s Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Orszag last December. We look forward to seeing more of the talented Golodryga.
