Like many Russian women, Darya Ulyanova likes dancing, fitness, and she speaks several languages, including English and German. Yet, this young beauty can now boast about one thing that most Russian girls can't -- the prestigious Miss Moscow crown and title.
This past weekend in Red Square, 33 finalists competed in the 25th annual Miss Moscow 2013 pageant. The theme was "healthy lifestyle, patriotism, and reinforcing the younger generation's sense of family."
Highlights of the pageants were the choreographed dance numbers and remarkable outfits. The gorgeous ladies wore red, white, and blue costumes while waving Russian flags for one group performance, while they strutted around in skin-tight orange bodysuits for another. (Watch the video below!)
It was nearly impossible to choose a winner as every lady was stunning, but in the end, 21-year-old Darya Ulyanova finished in first place.
"The winner is an economist by profession and currently is a first-year student at Moscow State University studying under a Master’s degree program," organizers told RIA Novosti. "Ulyanova is also a prize winner of the all-Russia Olympiad for Economics and Entrepreneurial Activity."
Darya even competes professionally in ballroom dancing and enjoys embroidery. Now she'll begin training for the Miss Russia pageant in November.
