Do Russian Girls Like Mama's Boys?

31. August 2010 by Michelle 0 Comments

Russian women often express their desire for a “real man”, which we translate as someone macho, confident, and strong. While many Russian girls are attracted to these traits of so-called “bad boys”, they also prefer the qualities of the stereotypical “mama’s boys” as well.

Know How to Treat Women

With years of emotional attachment and womanly advice from mom, mama’s boys are likely to know how to treat women the way they want (and expect) to be treated. Fostering that loving, caring relationship for so long is bound to give guys better insight into a woman’s world and they’ll demonstrate that knowledge toward their partner.

Family Nearby is Fine

Mama’s boys are teased for rarely migrating far from their mothers, but this isn’t a negative attribute. Russian and Ukrainian women usually have strong family ties, with many of them living with or close to their parents, grandparents, siblings, and even aunts and uncles. They appreciate that their families are an important part of their daily lives and respect men who feel the same.

Better Mental Health

Men who maintain close connections with their mothers are more emotionally available and have better rates of mental health, according to a new study presented at the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association. Carlos Santos, a professor at Arizona State University School of Social and Family Dynamics, reports increased feelings of safety and security, reduced stress, and good health were all prevalent in mama’s boys, whereas these traits were seen less in men who were more closely connected with their fathers.

So, do Russian women want the strong, unwavering macho man or the sensitive, emotional mama’s boy? Each lady is different so you’ll have to get to know them to discover their preferences. However, the key to being the full, well-rounded gentleman that ladies dream of is to incorporate a little bit of each personality type into your own unique persona.
