While it's a few miles from the main street in Kyiv, Oselya Hotel is worth the cab fare. With just seven completely different rooms, the small hotel appreciates uniqueness, individuality, and privacy.
"Our hotel is our passion. We imagined what an ideal home for travelers in another city should be, and have created it," states the website. "We prefer a personal approach to service rather than a reliance on rules and restrictions."
From the single classic room called "The Whole World in Your Hands" to the double deluxe suite called "Sky on Clouds," each room has high quality furniture, free wi-fi, slippers, air conditioning, and comfortable beds with orthopedic mattresses and anti-allergen sheets.
Many of the hotel's reviews rave about the helpful staff. They are happy to arrange transportation, even if that means driving you themselves! They will suggest places to see, schedule excursions, make reservations at restaurants, and much more.
"As nice and clean as the hotel is, and as good as the food is, none of that matches the level of service the hotel offers," says Jeremy S on TripAdvisor.com. "I mentioned how good the jam was earlier. The front desk overheard me say this, and lo and behold, I am the proud owner of a jar of homemade cherry jam! There are hotels that wouldn't offer you that kind of attention even if you paid them extra for it."
The word "oselya" is Ukrainian for "house together with yard, manor" which is an accurate description since Oselya Hotel is more like a home than a hotel. Enjoy breakfast in the garden before embarking on a Kyiv adventure with your favorite Russian bride!
