Hot Russian TV Host Becomes the Face of Russia’s Army

She doesn’t look much like a soldier, but this beautiful Russian lady gained fame in the 1990s as the face of Russia’s army.

As a first-year journalism student at Moscow State University, Dana Borisova landed a gig hosting a program called “The Army Shop” on Russian TV. The program, which aired on weekends, had her listening to soldiers gripe, telling jokes about army officers and orchestrating servicewomen’s fashion shows.

The program eventually attracted an audience of thousands of Russian military men and established Borisova as the sex symbol of the Russian army. She later received an award for successful propaganda of patriotism from Russia’s defense ministry.

The ministry wasn’t as enthusiastic however, when the hot Russian woman was pictured atop a tank on the cover of the Russian version of Playboy magazine. Still military men loved her and she continued to visit them at bases in order to strengthen morale.
