Medvedev and Putin Enjoy Krasnaya Polyana Ski Resort

18. January 2010 by Christy 0 Comments

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin recently took a break from politics and spent the day at Russia's popular Krasnaya Polyana (Beautiful Glade) ski resort. The two men enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, and mingling with tourists.

Medvedev and Putin graciously spoke to many tourists, posed for photographs, and signed autographs. After visiting with the public, the two politicians headed to the resort’s café and continued to chat over a cup of tea. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak and Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev soon joined them.

President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir are no strangers to the area. Medvedev and his family reportedly travel to Krasnaya Polyana to celebrate the New Year’s holidays and Vladimir Putin vacationed here last year. The Krasnaya Polyana resort, a popular destination for many, is scheduled to host a variety of snow events in the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Here are pictures of Medvedev and Putin’s visit.
