Monitoring Email and Chat

7. December 2009 by Christy 0 Comments

Many gentlemen are uncomfortable with the idea that HotRussianBrides monitors correspondence between Russian ladies and Western men. They understandably feel that we are violating their privacy. However, unbeknownst to many members, we do not monitor every piece of correspondence, nor do we review emails and chats because we are nosy or mean. So, just what is going on?

It would be impossible for HotRussianBrides to monitor each and every email or follow every single chat. Thousands of conversations take place each day. However, we have created email and chat filters to prevent prohibited information and language from getting through. We do this for your protection as well as the ladies’. The filters are also in place to help keep HotRussianBrides in compliance with the 2005 International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA). This government regulation outlines specific steps we must take before releasing a lady’s contact information to our members. Therefore, we must be very vigilant in preventing the premature leak of such information.

While legitimate correspondence does get held up from time to time, the vast majority of innocent messages are never reviewed by HotRussianBrides. If a gentleman follows the Terms of Use his messages will generally remain 100% private. However, if a gentleman (or lady) uses explicit language or attempts to share prohibited contact information HotRussianBrides will reject the email or censor the chat. Follow the rules and you’ll be just fine.

For more information about IMBRA and our policy concerning personal contact information, please review HotRussianBrides’ Terms of Use.
