Natalia Kantemurova, a stunning brunette from Moscow, is the new Miss Russia!

As the winner of Russia’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Natalia took home $100,000 and a grant to study at any university in the world. The young beauty will also participate in a number of social and charitable projects and represent Russia in the Miss Universe pageant in São Paulo, Brazil on September 12.

Natalia succeeds Irina Antonenko of Ekaterinburg. Anastasiya Mashukova, of Krasnoyarsk, was the first runner-up in Miss Russia 2011, while Novosibirsk’s Jana Dubnik placed third.

To make it to Miss Russia, aspiring beauty queens had to be between the ages of 17-23, stand at least 5’7” tall, and be free of “bad habits.” Contestants also participated in one of the nation’s qualifying rounds in November and December. RIA Novosti reports that the 50 Miss Russia finalists arrived in Moscow on February 12 to prepare for the big pageant, preparations that included a strict diet and at least six hours of exercise per day!
