New Kyiv Website for Euro 2012

8. March 2011 by Michelle 0 Comments

The countdown to Euro 2012 currently sits at 458 days, according to the new website launched by Ukraine's capital city. Kyiv is the official host city of the European soccer championship final next year and the new site will become a great source of information.

Visitors to the site can learn all about Kyiv's culture and history, as well as view videos, photos, and a pdf booklet. There is also information on Ukraine's three other host cities, Donetsk, Lviv, and Kharkiv, in addition to Poland's host cities.

For those planning to attend the finals in Kyiv, there's information about tickets, the Olympic Stadium, and the Fan Zone. Accommodations information is still being developed.

Since 16 teams will participate in the tournament, the site highlights the top 16 of Kyiv's most prominent places, such as St. Michael's Monastery, Taras Shevchenko Park, the House with Chimeras, and the Monastery of the Caves. Visitors can also view the top 16 theaters, top 16 museums, and top 16 architectural monuments.

However, the website, at http://en.city-kyiv.com.ua/uefaeuro2012/, is still in its beginning stages and city officials plan to add even more information.
