River Cruises Now Offered in Moscow

19. November 2009 by Daniel 0 Comments

Looking for a place to take your hot Russian bride on that first date? How about a romantic cruise on the Moscow River?

A fleet of five ice-breaking cruise ships is set to begin taking up to 200 guests each on journeys through the rivers waters. The ships are each capable of sailing through the ice that coats the river during Moscow’s frigid winters.

Each ship cost $2 million to construct. They were assembled at a Turkish dockyard and are currently docked at the Radisson Royal Hotel Moscow, the Stalin-era hotel previously known as Ukraina. The hotel, which has recently undergone remodeling, will soon revamp its neighboring waterfront for the installation of docking facilities.

The cruises last two hours and are expected to run several times a day. Passengers will be served either breakfast, lunch, or dinner, depending on the time of day the cruise departs. More information about the cruises can be found at www.radisson-cruise.ru.
