Russian Metal Band Releases English Album

23. August 2011 by Michelle 0 Comments

The dark beauty known as Nookie is what most men notice first about SLOT, a Russian nu metal band from Moscow. For nearly 10 years the group has been winning awards and touring with bands like Korn, Clawfinger, and Samael.

When their fourth album started attracting attention from the UK, the U.S., and Canada, they realized it was time to make an English album.

Released today, Break the Code features songs like "Vamp", "Dead Stars", "Kill Me Baby One More Time", and is the result of nearly two years of tireless, meticulous work spanning three continents. They are referred to as a "hit act" in Russia, headlining countless festivals and touring continuously.

Daria Stavrovich is the real name of the lead singer nicknamed Nookie. Her intensity and powerful emotions are evident in her voice and her performances. She's currently in the running for the Hottest Chick in Hard Rock and Metal for Revolver Magazine.
