Russian Woman Wins Mrs. Globe 2011

30. August 2011 by Michelle 0 Comments

After winning the Mrs. Russia pageant exclusively for married women last year, 29-year-old Alisa Krylova was eligible to compete for Mrs. Globe. 39 other beauties from around the world traveled to Palm Springs, California for the big event this past weekend, yet it was Mrs. Russia who was crowned the winner.

The contest has been held for 15 years by the Women in Need charity foundation, whose motto is "a saved woman is a saved family." Alisa is looking forward to contribute to the cause, saying "For me my victory means an opportunity to change and improve laws protecting the rights of women and children all over the world."

While she excelled in both the swimsuit and interview portions of the show, she really blew the judges away with her gorgeous evening gown. Made by famous Russian couturier Vyacheslav Zaitsev, the one-of-a-kind gown was a wedding dress and he felt she was the perfect choice for the top prize. "This woman deserves the highest praise, there is no one like her," he said.

First Runner Up was Mrs. India and Second Runner Up was Mrs. Guatemala, while Mrs. Canada won third place and Mrs. USA won fourth. Mrs. Macau was crowned People's Choice.
