10. October 2011 by Michelle 0 Comments

Ochakovo Beer was born in 1978, exclusively for the 1980 Summer Olympic Games in Moscow. The company has since become the market leader in the production of natural kvass and other low-alcohol drinks.

With breweries in Moscow, Krasnodar, Tyumen and Penza, some of the most popular brands are Ochakovo, Ochakovo Premium Black Mild, Ochakovo Premium light, Barley Spike, and Kaltenberg. They are available in 60 regions of Russia and more than 30 foreign countries such as the USA, Canada, Japan, Germany, Greece, Israel, and others.

Along with beverage production, Ochakovo houses an historical museum with an amazing collection of old industrial brewing equipment. Tour guides share secrets of brewing technology from the past as well as what is used today. The current manufacturing rooms are filled with delicious aromas of boiled rye, barley malt, and fruity syrups.

Tours also include a trip to the tasting room where guests enjoy samples of fresh drinks right off the production line. The museum also hosts special events and activities each month. Visit the Ochakovo website to sign up for an excursion with your favorite Russian bride!
