Ukrainian Culture Comes Alive for "Night in Lviv"

9. November 2012 by Masha 0 Comments

As the sun goes down, the cultural city of Lviv will light up for residents and visitors to experience unique tours and illuminated performances.

From November 16th to 18th, churches, theaters, museums, and more will be open after hours for "Night of Lviv."

Over 100 special tours will be available from the Brewery Museum and City Hall to the Arsenal Museum and Lychakiv Cemetery. If exploring a cemetery at night isn't spooky enough, the event will also feature the "Lviv Night Guard Tour" of mysterious streets and secret ritual locations as guides describe frightful legends and ghost stories.

Another special tour is called "Lviv, a City of Love" and educates guests on the touching story of the city's Romeo and Juliet, Pelagia and Mikelini. It ends with a thrilling fire show in Rynok Square.

Music lovers will have a variety of genres to groove to as the event will host a jazz night, a tango night, a concert of romantic organ music, and a disco party inside a tram. Literary readings will be held in the Historical Museum, films will be shown in the streets, and a break dancing party will take place at Salo Vodka Bar.

If you plan on visiting your Ukrainian girlfriends in this region, be sure to take in the cultural sights and sounds of Lviv!
