The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organizations

The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organizations (AFUO) oversees 24 community organizations throughout Australia and serves as a leader and “spokesbody” for issues concerning the Ukrainian community and the relationship between Australia and Ukraine. AFUO also runs a New Ukrainian Settlers Network for those who are new to Australia, in addition to providing information about Ukrainian language programs, cultural events, sports, news, and more. Here are the Ukrainian community organizations AFUO oversees.

Study Ukrainian at an Australian University

Macquarie University in Sydney, New South Wales offers Ukrainian language courses for both degree seekers and those not pursuing a degree. Monash University in Melbourne conducts teaching and research in Ukrainian language, literature, history, and culture.

Embassy of Ukraine in Australia

The Embassy of Ukraine in Australia has a lot of useful information online, including a comprehensive overview of Ukraine, as well as the relationship between Australia and the Eastern European nation. The embassy also helps Australians obtain visas for entering Ukraine, immigrate to the nation, and learn more about international adoptions.

Good luck!
