Your HotRussianBrides.com Profile and What It Says About You!

When writing a profile, it’s important to pay attention to what you’re saying in it. Giving information about yourself is important, but be very careful about giving too little or too much information to the Russian ladies and Ukrainian women that may be viewing it. Here are some examples of things gentlemen may find themselves writing that may not be for the best:

“I don’t know what to say here. I hate filling these out.”

This is not really the best way to introduce yourself to a lady you’re interested in. Imagine you’re chatting with a lady; she asks “Tell me more about yourself”. If you were to respond with “I don’t know what to say. I hate answering that question”, you really aren’t going to get too far. A Ukrainian lady is going to respond the same way.

“Tell you later.”

Again, this is the sort of thing that can put ladies off. If you’re going through the trouble of creating a Russian Dating profile, why not write 50 characters describing yourself and who you’re looking for? If you’re not happy with it later, you can always change it.

“Not looking for liars/game players/scammers/etc.”

In general, no-one is looking for these sorts of people! Posting things like that can make you look incredibly paranoid to the average Russian bride viewing your profile. Rather than focusing on the types of ladies you seek to avoid, why not focus on the ones that you’d like to meet? Posting something positive such as “I’m looking for an honest, dedicated lady” will win you many more points than dwelling on the negative.

Dating Site Clichés

There are many profile clichés that don’t just appear in the International Matchmaking world, but on all dating websites. Be careful of writing things like “I’m down-to-earth”, “I enjoy having fun”, “I like to laugh” and other such phrases. These really don’t tell much about you – really, who doesn’t like having fun? Try your best to make your profile unique and interesting.

Self Deprecation

This is a trap many members find themselves in. Self deprecation, whether meant for humor’s sake or not, is rarely seen as an attractive quality. This matters especially when there is translation involved. A translator may not be able to illustrate the finer points of your joke, and a member with a lot of self deprecating comments in his profile may just come across as a generally negative person.

“Weird” or “Funny” Profiles

Another time to remember that many ladies use translators is if you are entering “funny” information into your profile. You might think it’s hilarious that you stated that you’re a 7 foot tall Martian named Klaatu who lives in a Nevada trailer park, but for a lady using translation, this may not come across as funny at all. In general, we ask that gentlemen take their searches seriously and not put fake or joke information into their profiles. Frequently if an administrator comes across a fake profile, the owner is asked to change it or face deactivation.
