Meet Anastasiya Lugovaya, Miss Kuzbass Police 2012. The young police captain bested 14 other beautiful contestants in a virtual pageant aiming to prove police women don’t have to sacrifice their femininity to administer justice.

Over 3,000 people voted for the lovely Lugovaya on the pageant website. Anastasiya reportedly learned of her victory while apprehending a suspect and was understandably happy to hear the news. Charming investigators, tracers, patrol and guard police officers, juvenile inspectors, and escort guards also competed in the occupational beauty pageant. Anastasiya’s colleagues are happy for the dedicated captain and say she is more than deserving of the Miss Police honor.

“Anastasiya has got not only good looks, but she is a disciplined and knowledgeable employee and just a good personality,” reads a release. “During hard weekdays, the girl remains a real lady wearing high heeled shoes even during the raids, which does not prevent her from achieving good service performance.

The pageant release also describes Anastasiya as beautiful, intelligent, energetic girl who is fond of rock music and spots. Lugovaya is the senior inspector of the juvenile and school department of Russia's MVD Department. Last year, Lugovaya placed second in the Miss Kuzbass Police competition.

Congratulations Anastasiya!
