Woo Ukrainian Women Near Waterfalls

22. January 2013 by Masha 0 Comments

Since Ukrainian women are fond of nature, they'll be delighted when you suggest some outdoor activities for spending time together. With so many rivers running through the mountains of Ukraine, why not visit any of the many romantic waterfalls?

Meaning "swift water" in the Crimean Tatar language, the Uchan Su Waterfall is the highest waterfall in Ukraine and a popular tourist attraction. Located on the southern slopes of the Crimean Mountains, the Uchan Su is 98 meters (322 feet) high with an altitude of 390 meters (1,280 feet).

The waterfall has several landings which provide gorgeous views. One is an observation deck called Eagle Flight Rock where visitors can gaze at the neighboring mountains. Another is called Defensive Hill Rock which shows ruins of a Greek Byzantine castle nearby.

In the Volovets district of Zakarpattia region, the Shipot Waterfall also attracts tons of tourists. While it's small in comparison to the Uchan Su, at only 14 meters (45 feet) high, it is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Ukraine.

The most exciting time to visit is during the first 10 days of July for the Shipot Festival. A variety of subcultures and tourists have been gathering in the area since 1993 to celebrate the festival's motto, "Love, Peace, and Wine!" The celebration centers around Ivan Kupala Day on July 7th.

Ukrainian women believe that waterfalls exude powerful energy which promotes cleansing and meditation. Ask your favorite lady if there are any waterfalls near her town and plan a stop during your next visit.
